Synopsys, ANSYS, and MathCAD

Synopsys, ANSYS, and MathCAD are industry-standard tools for electronic design automation, multi-physics simulation, and engineering calculation respectively. They are also tools where the configuration, licensing, and support requirements are substantial, and where getting things wrong can stall an engineering program.

Synopsys tools are used for semiconductor design, verification, and electronic design automation. ANSYS covers structural mechanics, fluid dynamics, electromagnetic simulation, thermal analysis, and multi-physics coupling - the full simulation stack that aerospace and defense engineering programs depend on. MathCAD provides a documented, auditable environment for engineering calculations that integrates naturally into design review and approval workflows.

We supply these tools under appropriate licensing arrangements and provide the technical support that engineering teams need to get them working properly in their environment - including HPC cluster integration for ANSYS runs that require large computational resources, and network license server management for multi-seat deployments.

Microsoft Licensing

Microsoft licensing is complex, and the complexity has grown as Microsoft has shifted more of its product portfolio to subscription-based models. Virtualization and Infrastructure Software

Virtualization changed how enterprises run their IT infrastructure, and for most medium to large organizations, a properly designed virtual environment means better utilization of hardware resources, faster disaster recovery, easier testing and development environments, and lower total cost of ownership over time.

We deploy and support VMware vSphere, NSX, and vSAN environments, along with Microsoft Hyper-V for organizations in the Microsoft ecosystem. Beyond the virtualization layer itself, we handle the supporting infrastructure: shared storage, network configuration for virtualization traffic, management tools, and monitoring.

Many virtual environments that organizations are running today were deployed years ago and have grown organically since then. The result is often a configuration that is technically working but not optimized - poor VM density, snapshots that were never deleted, datastores running close to full, and hosts that are not part of a proper cluster. We do virtualization health assessments that identify these problems and produce a prioritized remediation plan.

Backup and Recovery Solutions

Backup is one of those things that organizations know they should have sorted out, and frequently do not. The most common situation is not 'we have no backup' - it is 'we have a backup system, but we have never tested a recovery, and we are not sure everything is actually being backed up.' The value of a backup is only realized at the moment of recovery, and that is the worst possible time to discover it does not work.

We deploy and manage enterprise backup solutions using Veeam and related platforms. Our backup implementations cover on-premise workloads, cloud workloads, and hybrid environments. We configure retention policies, offsite replication, and encryption, and critically, we schedule and document regular recovery tests so that clients can actually verify that their backup is doing what they think it is doing.

For clients with specific RPO and RTO requirements - a government department that cannot afford to lose more than four hours of data, or a financial services client that needs to be back online within two hours of a failure - we design the backup and recovery architecture around those specific numbers rather than just deploying a default configuration.

Document Management Solutions

Large organizations generate and manage enormous volumes of documents - procurement files, technical drawings, policy documents, correspondence, project reports, and regulatory submissions. When these are managed through shared drives and email attachments, the results are predictable: multiple versions of the same document, documents that cannot be found, approval workflows that happen informally and leave no audit trail.

Document Management Systems (DMS) solve these problems. We deploy and configure DMS platforms that give organizations controlled document workflows, version history, search, access control, and audit logging. For government and defense clients with records management and regulatory compliance requirements, a properly implemented DMS is not optional - it is a fundamental operational requirement.

Our DMS implementations are done in close consultation with the people who will actually use the system. Document management software that is configured around technical defaults rather than actual operational workflows tends to get abandoned. We spend time understanding how the organization actually works before we configure anything.

HPC Monitoring Tools

High-Performance Computing environments have unique monitoring requirements. Standard enterprise IT monitoring tools are not designed for HPC workloads, and using them in an HPC environment typically means you have visibility into hardware health but no insight into job queues, scheduler efficiency, resource utilization by user or project, or the actual scientific productivity that the cluster is delivering.

We deploy specialized HPC monitoring tools that give HPC center managers and users the visibility they actually need: job queue depth, resource allocation by project, node utilization patterns, I/O throughput, and job failure diagnostics. This information drives better decisions about cluster configuration, scheduling policies, and capacity planning.

Weka-FS with Cloudian HyperStore

High-performance computing environments, AI training workloads, genomics pipelines, and large-scale data analytics all have one thing in common: they need to move data fast. Traditional storage systems become bottlenecks in these environments because they were designed for different workload patterns - sequential reads, moderate concurrency, relatively small files. HPC and AI workloads look nothing like that.

Weka-FS is a parallel file system built specifically for data-intensive workloads. It delivers NVMe-level performance at scale, supports POSIX file system semantics that HPC applications expect, and integrates with GPU compute environments for AI and machine learning workloads. We deploy Weka-FS for clients who have outgrown what their existing storage can handle.

Cloudian HyperStore adds S3-compatible object storage to the stack - a cost-effective tier for data that needs to be retained long-term but does not need to be accessed at high speed every day. The combination of Weka-FS for hot data and Cloudian HyperStore for warm and cold data creates a tiered storage architecture that delivers performance where it is needed without requiring expensive all-flash storage for everything.
